Through the help of generous donors to the Chancellor’s Fund,  I can boost my CV with Psychological related experience, which will hopefully help me in my job search.” Henna Mistry

Henna had the opportunity to join Sri Lanka Volunteer Global for a voluntary mental health placement after she graduated the University with a degree in Psychology.

It involved working in two psychiatric hospitals and running tailored therapeutic activities for the service users such as running special needs classes on improving fine motor skills, making sensory items and helping the service users with understanding their daily routine.  For example, they ran a “how to tie your shoelaces” and “brushing my teeth” sessions.

She couldn’t have done this without the support of generous people like you.
