Apprenticeships
Our rapidly developing work-based Higher and Degree Apprenticeship programme can enable your company to develop employees within your specific job roles. The programme will be tailored to suit your business and is an excellent way to support professional development, as well as attracting new recruits.
Access to talent
We run almost 300 courses in a wide range of subjects and provide a pipeline of graduates for businesses across the UK. Placements allow students to spend time with your business whilst studying and many will return to the business upon graduation. We also work in partnership with Unitemps to provide students to businesses for a wide range of temporary work opportunities.
Research and Innovation
Our academic staff are committed to working with businesses nationally and internationally to develop research, which supports businesses in tackling challenges that they may be facing or supporting them in driving innovation within their businesses. Our Innovate Northamptonshire programme enables us to provide some funding to help businesses access the best academic expertise they require.
Consultancy
We offer a range of consultancy solutions for businesses looking for advice and support from experienced professionals. Our academic and professional experts have practical or managerial experience in public, private and third sector organisations. Areas in which consultancy is offered include arts, business and management, education and children’s services, health, waste management and creative leather technologies.
Training
We provide short and long-term, accredited and non-accredited development training and professional courses for businesses in a number of subject areas: from leadership and management, engineering, marketing, to health and education. By bringing together our academic staff and your in-house trainers, we can blend a bespoke programme that delivers the development objectives of your business.
Premises
In September 2018 we will be moving to Waterside. This Campus has been designed to adapt to 21st-century teaching but will also have a community space, including a hotel, leisure space and links to the town’s Enterprise Zone and Cultural Quarter. We will be encouraging our corporate clients and partners to use this facility to support their business needs.
Business support and funding
The University of Northampton’s Growth Hub works with Northamptonshire new and established businesses to help them grow and create jobs. Support is provided in a number of areas including: access to innovation and growth funding; encouraging trading opportunities between local businesses; innovation advice and networking; start-up advice and funding and others.
